Are your hats/headpieces handmade?

All hand-blocked items are using traditional millinery techniques like hand sewing and shaping.  Hat/ headpiece without being specified as a "hand-blocked" item is still crafted by hand by using hat base.

A few of them are using hat bases as the construction base and they are still designed and finished by handmade techniques in her very best efforts.

How is the fascinator sized?

All the fascinator headwear that you find under My Millinery Mine are universally fitted and versatile in one size.

What is the ideal side to adorn a fascinator?

  • In tradition, most headpieces are worn to the right hand side due to the custom of a gentleman accompanying a lady by walking to her left to allow her face remaining visible for him. Therefore, you may have to cosider it if the situation applies.
  • If the above situation (existence of the gentelman on the left) is not applicable and if you will part your hair, you are recommended to use the headpiece to cover your parting. Otherwise, you may wear the fascinator on the right as per the tradition if you do not have parting. Of course, wearing the fascinator towards the front of your head in the center is still good. Anyways, you can try wearing your headgear on the side a few times and see how comfortable your will be wearing it.
  • The fascinator should be placed just above either your right or left eyebrow depending on your hair parting or your situation as described above. Fascinators when worn leaning towards either side right or left, look more chic.

Can you ship outside Hong Kong?

We are able to deliver to some global locations (exclude European countries and United Kingdom). If you are outside of Hong Kong, please contact us for a separate shipping quote. The cost will be determined once the location is confirmed. Order will be dispatched upon settlement of delivery fee or if delivery fee to be collected can be arranged.

Once I have made an order, what happens next?

  • If you buy an item which is in stock, usually we will dispatch the order within 3 working days. We will send you an email notification if it cannot be accomplished.
  • If you purchased an item that is out of stock, we will create the purchased item and this may take up to 4 weeks. Please do let us know if you need your headpiece sooner and we will try our very best to accommodate, just let us know the date so we can prioritise your order.
  • Once dispatched you will then receive another email telling you that your hat is on its way along with the tracking number. Delivery lead time will depend on shipping location.

I think that the hat does not fit my as expected. Can you refund?

Please note that due to the personal nature of our hats, there is a strict no-returns and no-exchangeable policy. Please refer to our Refund Policy for details.
